Should I go to the salon to wax my armpits?

I've shaving my armpits for 3 years but do you think I should really go and wax them? And how painful is it?Should I go to the salon to wax my armpits?
The pain is manageable and you get much better results from waxing. Plus the hair grows back sparser every time.Should I go to the salon to wax my armpits?
Go to the salon the first time as after shaving for a while it will be quite thick and will be a bit painful. But after that buy your self some hot wax and do it at home - much cheaper.





Ive been waxing mine for a while and its great as you dont need to worry about being stubbly. The only drawback is waiting to do it again - but the hair does grow really fine so its not very noticeable!
People who said ew are idiots. All the stars and celebrities they try to look like wax everything. Wax them. It's easier.
I'm too scared to wax, I'm such a wuss. But if you think you can handle it, I suppose it would be nice not to shave for a while. It's totally your choice, I think once you start waxing regularly you'd be fine but it's just those first couple of times...
I dont understand why everyone is so grossed out by this Q?? I have had my armpits waxed for over 5 years now and I would never go back to shaving. I would be lying if I said it wasnt painful but its worth it when you can have smooth armpits, no stubbly regrowth and finer hair when it does grow back.





Go for it, even if you just try it. Its worth it.
i do shave myself at home..... its basically optional either u shave or wax.... both r same.....
if you want to why not?





I'm sure they do it but never use a epolator that kills!

I've had mine done just to go on holiday - a short sharp shock is all it is! But def a salon - don't try it yourself!
It is easier to wax them as the hairs take longer to grow back and you don't get stubbly bits the next day! lol. The only draw back is, is that you have to grow the hair first which put me off a little. It does hurt alittle but I didn't find it overly bad, give it a try and see what you think.
I have been getting a brazillian wax for four years and have been getting my legs waxed since I was fifteen (nine years ago), so I have a little experience in the department. On a scale of 1 to 10, one being not so bad and ten being I never want to experience that again.





Legs are a 3.


Brazillian is a 6ish 7.


Armpits are a 9ish 10.





My pain tolerance is pretty high when I am happy about the end result, but the pain of getting my armpits waxed vs. the end result has not made waxing them worth it at all. I shave.





EDIT: If you do decide that you want to get them waxed, pop a tylenol or advil a half an hour before you get it done, it will ease the pain a little.

dont understand why people think this question is gross. i have had my armpits done once, had legs and bikini line done a lot. armpits are the worse pain wise but also over the quickest, try it and see what you think, only thing is needing to grow the hair first. good luck x
