Yes you can. This was touched on on the Tyra show. The way you get them is from the stick applicator they use to apply the wax to your skin. It's much easier for them to just put the stick back in the hot wax, rather than to throw it out and waste some of the wax. Not only this, but they would need a new container of wax for every person they do. Even if they throw the stick away...they're still dipping it back in the wax, and this is used on everyone. You should ask first if they're clean with this matter...All you need to ask is if the wax and stick are both disposed of after each use.Can you get STDs from getting your bikini waxed at a salon?

Considering that your skin gets ripped when getting waxed there is the risk of STD cooties getting into your system. Bodily fluids are best kept to ones self. That's why whoever is waxing you better be licensed, using new supplies and wearing gloves to protect both you and themselves. There's a very small risk but yes, it is possible. Anything involving blood brings that risk of transferring any pathogens that you might have in your body into contact with others and vice versa.
YES!, If the same stick spreading it on your skin, then back in the wax that contaminates the wax, and 90% of the time they don't change wax between customers.

Actually yes, I saw the Tyra Banks show and there was a doctor on talking about STD's and she said that this was something women have to be careful of. HTH.
STD's are transmitted by having intercourse, so unless you're having intercourse while getting waxed there should be no reason to have one and i hope that the salons are sanitary.
I'm not a doctor, so I'm not sure how feasible that is. But most beauty salons have to use disposable equipment like wooden sticks that spread on the wax. If your salon doesn't use a new stick everytime they put it in the wax pot, who knows how many other people are floating around in that pot? Make sure the salon is clean and sanitary. They should clean and sanitize the table after each client. Also, many waxing professional use rubber gloves. The cleaner the better!

Only from a nasty, dirty salon, and then it's doubtful. Make sure the salon you go to has clean wax pots and doesn't reuse wax. Also, the technician should use gloves.

I WAS WATCHIN THE TYRA SHOW AND YOU CAN GET CRABS FROM GETTING A BIKINI WAX ESPECIALLY A BRAZILLIAN ONE YOU CAN EVEN GET CRABS FROM SITTING ON SOMEWHERE ELSES UNCOVERED TOILETTE SEAT SO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THEY DONT USE NEW WAX BUT I DONT KNOW IF U CAN GET ANY OTHER STD'S
