How long should a salon wax last?

THe last few times i got my bikini line and legs waxed it didn't last more than a week at most, how long should a good wax last? also are at-home wax kits any good or are you better going to the salon? thanksHow long should a salon wax last?
Its should last for 3 weeks at least, as you should book waxing appointments 4-6 weeks after you have been waxed as the hair will be just the right lenght to wax at that point, not to long not to short. (this does very from person to person as we all have different speeds of hair growth and coursness of hair) If its only lasting a week then your beautician is not taking the hair from the root but is snapping the hair at the skins surface.

When waxing it is also very important to exfoliate 3-5 days after being waxed (if the area has calmed down from the wax session) and do so twice a week as you are more prone to ingrown hairs. (which if left can be dangerous, eg, cause an absess) I am a trained beauty therapist myself and have been for a number of years. Hope this helps

Also some home kits arent bad if you know what you are doing but most people end up burning themselves as they dont test the temp properly and also end up ripping the skin and cause bruising as they dont hold the skin tought enough, once the wax is applied you only have a limited time to remove it as it dries which also another cause of damage to the skin as you still have to remove the wax.

If your going to give it a go at home apply some talc to the area first if doing bikini line and have some baby oil handy as it lifts excess wax straight off without pulling at the skin but personally i would always recommend a salon wax to DIY.How long should a salon wax last?
Salon waxes should last up to 4 weeks, but it depends on the part of your body its done on.

Legs should last up to 4 weeks

Bikini line should last up to 3 weeks

The home packs are good, and a lot less cheaper, but i would reccomend going to a salon first just to be safe.

Ive also found that going to a salon hurts less than if you do it at home.

I hope this answers your question good luck

This information is just from experience
It depends on how fast your hair grows at first. The more you wax the slower the hair will come back. I've been waxing since I was twelve and the areas I wax have way less growth than they used to.

As for home kits, well I wouldn't suggest it for a bikini. It's a lot easier to let someone else get all the hard to reach places lol. Plus they have to deal with the mess, not you. But at home is just as good as salon, though I don't suggest it, unless you know what you are doing. You can cause burns to your skin by waxing over the same place twice, pending on the wax you use.
6 - 8 weeks
you're supposed to get it done every 6 wks but the hair has grown by then
