I have no idea about Houston - I'm in London, England. However, here most places that do waxing do it for both genders and it's no big deal. You just have to call and ask. There's no embarassment - if they don't do the full speedo thing they'll say so if you ask and if they do, believe me they'll have seen it all before so just turn up to the appointment and they will most likely be professional and put your bf at ease if he's at all worried.
It's great to hear of straight guys wanting to go hair free - it's only fair on the women and it's perfectly normal modern choice. Who the hell wants to be covered in fuzz?!
